Have you hit a wall growing your audience and revenue from your writing or art? Then join us for a one-day workshop in New York City to level up your creative business.
Be a part of a group of 10 artists and writers on this adventure. This is unlike any event you have ever been to — in terms of both the experience and the output.
New York City is fueled by creativity and business. This day will embrace both sides of what the city offers. Half of the day takes place on the streets, experiencing some of the most intense creative and business aspects of the city.
The rest of the day takes place in a private studio where we will delve intensely into your creative work and your business.
We are going to channel the energy of New York to infuse your vision with a deeper sense of creative clarity and a solid foundation of financial planning and growth.
You will walk away from this event with a clearer picture of:
- Radical Clarity: What you create and why. You will be reinvigorated and laser focused on your creative vision.
- True Fans: Who will love your work, why, and how to reach them.
- Marketing & Sales Planning: How to market your work, package it, and promote it in a way that feels meaningful and effective.
Bottom line? You become the hero of your creative dreams.
The workshop is lead by Dan Blank and features guest author/illustrator Lori Richmond, who will each be working hands-on with you throughout the day to develop your creative business.
Creative Business Boost is for the writer, artist, or creative professional who feels they need a boost to grow. This could be a small side-project (e.g.: selling hand-crafted jewelry on Etsy), a small revenue stream you want to grow (e.g.: selling prints of your illustrations and doing commissioned work), or a career you want to really take off (establishing yourself as a writer.)
Detailed Agenda
The agenda for Creative Business Boost is below. As you can see, we split out time between focused work in private studios, and being out in the streets of New York City, learning from the best examples of how creativity and business mix:
Prior to the event, you will receive pre-work in order to prepare and ensure you are 100% ready to get the most out of the Creative Business Boost. We will also be following up with you after the event to ensure you are on a good track to follow through on the plan you create during the event.
This day is an adventure. We will dig deep into your creative business, but also experience much of New York City.
All adventures need proper preparation. This is a day where we will be moving a lot. Wear comfortable walking shoes. We will be walking more than a mile outside in the July heat, plus any time we spend moving within indoor spaces. A hat, sunscreen, and water bottle are also recommended. This isn’t a workshop you come to in your most stylish creative outfit — we are here to do work. To explore. To dig in. Come prepared for action.
Registration Fee and Application Process
The cost to participate in Boost Your Creative Business is $1,500. This includes meals, snacks, and workshop supplies.
This event is only open to 10 people. Because of this, we have created an application process to ensure that you are a perfect fit.
If you are ready to join us, please apply now:
Deadline for applications is Friday July 20th. If you are considering applying, we strongly encourage you to apply early as the spaces are limited.
