I have worked full-time with writers for more than 13 years, helping thousands of them get clarity on how to share their writing with people who it will resonate with.
In this session, I will share the processes I use every day with writers of all types: fiction, nonfiction, memoir, essays, and poetry. I have also worked with writers from every publishing path, whether it is traditional, indie, hybrid, etc.
This session will be packed with actionable strategies, clear examples, and advice that comes from in-the-trenches experience with writers.
Find Your Ideal Audience.
In this workshop, you will learn:
- How to think about an ideal reader for your work, what are the common mistakes writers make in identifying them, and a huge mindset shift for how you can consider finding your own ideal readers.
- How to define your Key Messages, clearly communicating what you write and why you write it in a manner that will engage your ideal readers.
- How to create Audience Personas that dive deep into defining an actual person who will love your writing, not just demographic descriptions of a vague audience that you can never seem to find.
- How you can put this into action, via my Whole Reader Framework. Here we will work through examples of how to connect what you write about to deeper themes that truly motivate people to notice what you share and engage.
- The secrets of conducting Marketplace Research to find where your readers are, what engages them, and how you can leverage these insights to create meaningful and authentic marketing plans.
- How to manage the research process so that it feels accessible and not overwhelming.
- Create your 1-Page Ideal Reader Profile that will act as a daily reminder of the person who will love what you write!
I will also answer your questions in a full Q&A session. Every question asked will get answered.
If you can’t make the live event, don’t worry! You will receive a recording after the event. All recordings are accessible for 30 days after the event so you have time to review again and again and take action.
